A Recap of FEN Social Presented by Fierce Entertainment: A Night of Networking, Fashion, and Art at OIFW 2024
FEN Social was presented by Fierce Entertainment on Thursday, November 14th, at the stunning Aloft Orlando Downtown. This exciting sponsor event for Orlando International Fashion Week (OIFW) brought together a dynamic crowd of fashion enthusiasts, influencers, and creatives for an unforgettable networking, entertainment, and style evening.
The event started with a lively networking session from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, emceed by Rob Henlon. Guests connected and engaged while being surrounded by photographers and videographers capturing the buzz of the evening. Designers, models, and influencers mingled, taking photos and networking before the showcase. DJ Red Tables set the tone with his music, creating an energetic atmosphere for guests to socialize and enjoy. Rob Henlon also introduced Edward Tapia, an international model, reality TV star, and singer, and Kid Lava, a rising influencer and fashion star, who joined the crowd for the networking portion. The event spread throughout the Aloft ballrooms and lobby and overflowed into the WXYZ bar, offering guests a unique experience while fashionable clothing was available for purchase.
At 7:30 PM, the event shifted focus as Ashleigh Mausser, founder of AshRock Art, took over as emcee to lead the showcase of performances. Ashleigh guided the evening through inspiring performances, starting with the fashion show featuring designs from Vedremo by Valerie Capuzzi and Villa Vault Couture by Sharon Ward. Performances by Marquis Lee of Diverse Word, Shayna Castano, founder of Exodus United Inc. and Free Yourself LLC, and Till the AM kept the energy high and added an artistic touch to the night. The event closed with a spectacular performance by Kerry Art, featuring his Twin Flames and Love Collection, leaving the audience captivated.
The night also celebrated the work of Anelya Alim’s Makeup School NY, with a Certificate Presentation honoring the talented hair and makeup artists, many of whom traveled internationally from Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, Buryatia, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Portugal, and nationally from New York and Georgia.
Also in attendance were Barbara Hartley, Executive Director of the Downtown Arts District, who sponsored the Sunday Opening Show, Fashion & Art Hits CityArts at CityArts Downtown, and Kat Quast, Manager of CityArts, who supported the event and contributed to OIFW’s success. Ha’ani Hogan, PhD, External Affairs Director of Creative City Project, also attended, helping to represent the city’s commitment to creativity and innovation. Terry Olson, founder of FusionFest, was also present, showing his continued support for OIFW. Elijah Noel, a community volunteer and board member of several organizations, including The Salvation Army and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, was in attendance, contributing his time and expertise to local causes. Ken G, founder of NewToOrlando.com, was also in attendance. New to Orlando helps newcomers discover local events and explore great places to go and fun things to do around Central Florida. Durell Peart, Speaker, Author, Podcast Host, and Indie Creative Manager, and Cristina Medina also supported the event, enriching the evening with their presence. The event was made possible by several volunteers behind the scenes, who worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly.
A special thank you to Dr. Ramos, OIFW Sponsor and owner of Vitology Med Spas, Mezzo Riccio singer/songwriter, former owner of Ego Lab, a long-time supporter of OIFW, for attending the event. Ego Lab, a fusion boutique and salon, was instrumental in supporting one of OIFW’s first events, a Pre-Fashion Week Mixer in September 2014. Dr. Hezedean Smith, a longtime OIFW supporter, with over 33 years of experience in the emergency services profession, was also in attendance. Dr. Smith served as Assistant Fire Chief at the Orlando Fire Department before becoming Fire Chief of the Charlottesville Fire Department. He is also known for his involvement in Unity in Uniform, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization that hosted an annual charity fashion show for five years, supporting disadvantaged youths and adults pursuing careers in emergency services and allied health through mentorship, scholarships, and educational programs.
FEN Social was a beautiful blend of creativity, community, and celebration. It allowed attendees to network and engage with like-minded individuals while showcasing the strength and diversity of Orlando’s creative industries.
