Hosts for the Closing Show Announced!

Orlando, FL – September 30, 2024 – Orlando International Fashion Week (OIFW) is proud to announce the hosts for the much-anticipated Closing Show on Sunday, November 17th at 7 PM. WESH 2 News anchors Michelle Imperato and Jason Guy will take center stage as emcees for the event, bringing their broadcast experience and strong ties to the Central Florida community to this momentous occasion.
Michelle Imperato is an award-winning news anchor and reporter who has made a significant impact on Central Florida’s media landscape. Since joining WESH 2 News in June 2014, Michelle currently co-anchors WESH 2 News at 5 PM, 7 PM, and 10 PM on CW18. Before transitioning to the evening news team in 2021, she spent seven years co-anchoring WESH 2 News Sunrise.
Throughout her decade in Orlando, Michelle has guided the community through significant news events, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pulse Nightclub shooting, and the aftermath of the manhunt for a shooter who killed an Orlando Police Lieutenant. She has also anchored coverage of multiple hurricanes. Michelle’s work extends beyond daily news reporting, hosting WESH 2’s special reports such as Olympic Zone, Life After Pulse, Saving Our Streets, WESH 2 Chronicles: The Life & Legacy of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, Getting There, COVID & Recovery, Wasted: How Your Recycling Gets Trashed, and Space Coast Comeback.
Michelle’s accolades include Edward R. Murrow, Emmy, Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists, National Headliner, and New York State Broadcasters Association Awards. She was also honored with the Carol M. Baldwin Foundation’s Penni Hartnett Community Service Award for her work raising awareness about breast cancer.
Outside of work, Michelle serves on the board of Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and supports various local organizations including Franklin’s Friends, EasterSeals, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and Relay for Life. Michelle resides in Seminole County with her husband, Andrew, and their two dogs, Olive and Ash.
Jason Guy, co-anchor of WESH 2 Sunrise, will join Michelle Imperato as co-host for the OIFW Closing Show. Jason starts his day long before dawn, preparing the morning newscast that informs and entertains viewers across Central Florida. He has received numerous accolades, including multiple Emmy Awards and honors from the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists for his anchoring and reporting.
In addition to his work in journalism, Jason is deeply committed to serving the community and has been recognized for his efforts. Jason, his wife Nicole, and their blended family enjoy living in Central Florida, where they appreciate its proximity to both beaches and theme parks.
The OIFW Closing Show on November 17th will be an unforgettable celebration of creativity, diversity, and the culmination of a week of incredible fashion. Michelle Imperato and Jason Guy will bring their dynamic presence to the event, making it a truly memorable evening for all in attendance.
