For over two decades, Terry Olson has held the esteemed position of “Chief Arts Instigator” with Orange County, a role that has seen him nurture the growth of arts and cultural organizations since 2001. A true visionary, Terry has been instrumental in the establishment of various arts entities in Central Florida, including the renowned SAK Comedy Lab, the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, the Downtown Arts District, and the captivating FusionFest.
Terry’s creative journey extends beyond administrative accomplishments, as he has graced countless stages as a performer and showcased his own artistic expressions in exhibitions. His extensive involvement in local, state, and national boards underscores his unwavering commitment to the enrichment of the arts community. Notably, Terry initiated the Orlando Chapter of the Awesome Foundation in 2013 and has continued to serve as the Dean of Awesomeness, embodying his innovative and forward-thinking spirit.
With an inherent understanding of the cultural significance of fashion, Terry Olson views it as a powerful medium for self-expression and identity. He firmly believes that fashion serves as a canvas to express individual and collective culture, transcending mere garments.
Terry’s academic background includes a Masters Degree from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. from Bethel College in St. Paul, MN, adding an intellectual dimension to his hands-on arts experience.
